Resident doctors at Delhi hospitals welcome SC's verdict over NEET PG Counselling
In an interim order issued on Friday, the Supreme Court permitted the commencement of medical counselling for NEET-PG admissions for the academic year 2021-22 and upheld the validity of the OBC quota of 27% and the EWS quota of 10%. The resident doctors from the Delhi hospitals, who have been constantly protesting and demanding the expedition of NEET PG Counselling, have welcomed the Supreme Courts decision. FORDA President Dr Manish said that this step was necessary especially at the time when India has entered the third wave of COVID-19. Candidates with a monthly family income of less than Rs 8 lakh will be eligible to participate in NEET PG counselling for EWS quota seats in the academic year 2021-22. The OBC quota will remain in place as well.
