CM Yogi Confirms Compliance with Allahabad High Court's Order on 69,000 Teacher Recruitment
The Allahabad High Court recently delivered a significant verdict in the 69,000 teacher recruitment case, annulling the merit list. This decision led to speculation about whether the Uttar Pradesh government would comply with the court's order or appeal to the Supreme Court. However, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has confirmed that the state government will adhere to the High Court's directive. CM Adityanath stated that the Basic Education Department has been instructed to act in accordance with the court's decision. He emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of reservation, as mandated by the Constitution, are provided to candidates in reserved categories. This means that a new merit list, complying with reservation rules, will be issued within three months, as directed by the court.
