Breaking News: UPSC Chairman Manoj Soni Resigns Due to Personal Reasons, Official Acceptance Pending
Manoj Soni, the Chairman of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), has resigned from his position due to personal reasons. Although his resignation was submitted at the end of June, there has been no official confirmation of its acceptance yet. Sources indicate that the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has not yet accepted the resignation. Soni's term was set to end in 2029, but he has chosen to resign earlier to focus on the Anupam Mission in Gujarat. Soni had been serving as a UPSC member since 2017 and took on the role of Chairman in 2023. According to sources, Soni plans to dedicate more time to his work with the Anupam Mission, which is his primary reason for stepping down.
