On 20th May, a loud booming sound was heard by many residents in Bengaluru. In a few hours, people started speculating an earthquake, however, there was no news of the same. It added to the curiosity of people and they started sharing memes on the event which got the topic trending on Google. After a few hours the Defence Ministry responded saying that it was a routine test of a fighter jet and that while the aircraft was returning, between 36,000 to 40,000 ft. above the ground level the sound was produced due to the speed of the aircraft.
