Story of 'King Of Patiala' Captain Amarinder Singh | BKB(30.09.2021)

Captain Amarinder Singh is not just a big name in politics but also holds the distinction of being a former royal. The 15th Chief Minister of Punjab is the son of Patiala's last Maharaja Yadavindra Singh. He was also commissioned in the Indian Army in 1963 and was posted in the 2nd Bn Sikh Regiment, both his father and grandfather had served the battalion too. 

Later, Captain came to have a very successful career in Politics. Everything seemed to be going his way in March 2017, when the Congress swept to power in the state with over two-thirds majority, relegating to the third-place its arch-rival, the Shiromani Akali Dal. However, the recent turn of events has changed the possibilities of his future in politics.
