Woman Misses Her Flight, Runs Onto Tarmac To Stop The Plane

The woman was arrested by the Australian Federal Police and pressed with charges of entering a security zone without permission.

Missing your flight could prove to be costly, and there is not much you can do, except for booking another ticket or taking a different mode of transportation. But a video has surfaced on the internet which shows a woman sprinting onto the tarmac at Canberra Airport in Australia in an attempt to catch a plane she missed. Surprised? Well the woman allegedly managed to make her way past airport security and ran towards the QantasLink flight was preparing to takeoff for Adelaide.

"Mild chaos at #CanberraAirport tonight. #runwaymodel ?," read the caption of the post shared on the microblogging site X, formerly Twitter, by Dennis Bilic.

In the video, the woman can be seen running past airport security, crossing the tarmac and reaching  close to the cockpit area of the flight. She can also be seen gesturing to the pilot in an effort to board the plane.

The woman was arrested by the Australian Federal Police at 7.30 pm on Wednesday. She was pressed with charges of entering a security zone without permission and possessing a small quantity of cannabis, reported News.com.au.

Describing it as "Bizarre" Simon Hales, who witnessed the incident took to Facebook to write"... a lady who had clearly missed her flight decided she could still catch it. Pushed past the staff at the door and ran down onto the tarmac and ran up to the plane."

"Literally standing underneath it next to the front wheel. Lucky the pilot was warned or spotted her and killed the engine," he added.

Another witness Dennis Bilic, who filmed the incident said, "People were a bit flat-footed, they didn't seem to know what to do".
