While everyone shares memes, there is a platform — MemeChat — that pays the content creators for sharing memes. MemeChat is also the winner of the AatmaNirbhar Bharat App Innovation Challenge.

One of the meme templates is of the parachute guy that went viral in 2019. It was widely shared in 2021 as well when the petrol and diesel prices were hiked beyond Rs 100 and even Rs 120 in some states.

This one is a still from the Akshay Kumar film, ‘Hera Pheri’, where he asks Rajpal Yadav if he got the money. The meme was widely shared in reference to Netflix rates in India. The OTT platform has recently cut prices in the country.

One meme came with the reference of popular Tiktoker Khaby Lame. It began with this Senegalese-born but Italy-based TikToker telling viewers how insane viral DIY videos were. In no time, he became famous and everyone started using him as a meme template. This one is a pun on how he knows everything and people go to him rather than Google for help.

This meme comes from a Lucknow woman who went viral after she thrashed a cab driver on the road. The incident caught a lot of traction and people started to use her image as a meme template.

The last but not the least — this meme has Ronaldo’s face in a still from the movie, ‘Vivah’, where Amrita Roy was serving water. Ronaldo caught headlines for clearing some Coca-Cola bottles from the table during a press conference and asking for water, instead, leading to a major drop in the company’s stock prices.
