Nagaland Minister Shares Video Of House That Is Both In India And Myanmar - WATCH

Due to the demarcation, the sleeping quarters fall inside the Indian border, while the kitchen area falls in Myanmar.

Nagaland minister of Higher Education and Tribal Affairs Temjen Imna Along is an avid social media user and keeps sharing interesting videos online. He recently took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share a video of a unique village that falls right on the India-Myanmar border. To cross the border, the residents of Longwa village, in the Mon district just need to go to their bedroom, according to the post shared by the minister.

"OMG | This is my India. To cross the border, this person just needs to go to his bedroom. This is "Sleeping in India and Eating in Myanmar" view," the Nagaland minister's post read.

Longwa is one of the biggest villages in the Mon district of Nagaland and is home to the Konyak Naga tribe.

The international border directly cuts through the house which belongs to the village chief Angh. Due to the demarcation, the sleeping quarters fall inside the Indian border, while the kitchen area falls in Myanmar, prompting the joke that he dines in India ad sleeps in Myanmar.

The Konyak tribe and the Burmese side share strong cultural and familial ties which have allowed both the governments to give dual citizenship to the residents of Longwa village.

Since being shared by the minister on Twitter, the video has amassed 236.3k views and several comments.
