'I Meant Sholay Not Chhole', British High Commissioner Alex Ellis' Tweet Leaves Netizens In Split
Alex Ellis' followers were quick to point out the mistake which was immediately corrected by him, but in a funny way.
British High Commissioner to India Alex Ellis is fond of the country and loves to explore Indian culture. He recently took to the microblogging site Twitter to tweet about the Bollywood movies he was recommended by his follower to watch in order to improve his Hindi. The suggestions of movies to watch included films like ‘Chupke Chupke’, ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and ‘Lagaan’.
However, it was the cult movie Sholay - 1975 blockbuster - wrongly spelt as Chole by Ellis that went viral. His followers were quick to point out the mistake which was immediately corrected by Ellis, but in a funny way.
The initial post read, "Thanks for the movie suggestions. So, I'll watch Chole, Chupke Chupke, I hate violence, but Gangs Wasseypur so I can say something friendly to the cricket opposition, I have seen Lagaan - that’s why I tell my colleagues every day 'Dugna lagaan dena padega" he wrote.
