Delhi Bus Driver Stops Vehicle In The Middle Of Road To Fetch Tea, Netizens Say 'Suspend His Licence'

The person making the video can be heard saying that the driver has got off from his bus at the famous ‘Sudama Tea Stall’ near the Kamla Nagar market, close to Delhi university.

Indians are fond of having tea. At least two cups of chai in a day is what most of us want, especially in the bone chilling winters. But a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus driver took his love for the beverage to another level as he stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road to fetch a cup of tea for himself. The video of the incident has gone viral on the internet.

The video posted on the micro-blogging site Twitter by Shubh opens to show a yellow coloured DTC bus parked in the middle of the road that has caused traffic jam on the route. After a while the driver appears with a cup of tea and heads back to the bus as vehicles behind it keep honking.

Since being posted on January 2, the video has amassed 137.1k views and 3,283 likes.

Netizens, have condemned the man for causing inconveniencing to commuters by halting his bus in the middle of the road to get chai for himself.

"Please suspend his license for a good amount of time. Such acts if unpunished shall only lead to increase in recurrences. We may take it as a meme/joke but such acts shouldn't be encouraged.' wrote one user.

"This is very common and irritating in Delhi. Bus drivers stop in the middle of the road for Food, water, chai, liquor etc., without worrying about the traffic. This is common because no one stops them," wrote another user.

"Now he will be endangering life of others by holding chai in one hand & driving," wrote a third.
