Earlier, the state government has decided to commence the budget session without Governor Tamilisai Soundarajan's address. The governor on Saturday said that she would give her recommendation for the presentation of the Budget as her primary intention was people's welfare, reported New Indian Express.
"Though the Constitution has given certain powers to the Governor and even when it is decided that Governor's address will not be held, I gave my recommendation for the presentation of the Budget, as my primary intention is for people's welfare only and any other thing in whatever situation takes a backseat," Tamilisai said as quoted by New Indian Express.
