Telangana Finance Minister Harish Rao Offers Prayers At Yadadri Temple Ahead Of Presenting Budget
Harish Rao said that he got the opportunity to present the budget for the third time with CM KCR's blessings
Hyderabad: Telangana Finance Minister Harish Rao will present the state budget in the Assembly on Monday at 11.30 AM. On Monday, Harish Rao offered prayers at the Yadadri temple ahead of presenting the budget session.
Speaking to the media, Harish Rao said, "He got the opportunity to present the budget for the third time with CM KCR's blessings." The budget would be in line with the people's aspirations, and he also said that the budget would fulfill the promises made to the people of Telangana by CM KCR. After special worship at the temple, Harish Rao left for the Assembly.
The cabinet approved the state budget for the 2022-23 financial year for Rs 2.56 lakh crore at Pragati Bhavan. The Chief Minister briefed the ministers on the year's revenue, expenditure, budget allocations, and government plans. For the financial year 2021-22, the government has introduced a Rs 2.31 lakh crore budget. Economists say the 2022-23 state budget will be at least a 10-15 per cent increase compared to last year's budget.

CM KCR directed the ministers on the strategy to be followed in the assembly meetings. He discussed government policies, expenditure, targets, budget allocations, in the cabinet for the coming financial year.
It is learned that during the cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister had asked all the ministers and officials to come to the Assembly with full information to give a convincing answer to all the issues raised by the Opposition. CM KCR suggested that this opportunity be used to expose the discrimination shown by the Centre towards Telangana.
