TRS MP Joginipally Santosh Kumar Announces Rs 1 Cr Annual Fund For Development Of Thousand Pillar Temple

On Saturday, Santosh made the announcement during his visit to Warangal to participate in various programmes and offer special prayers to Goddess Bhadrakali and Lord Rudreswara in the district.

Hyderabad: Rajya Sabha MP and TRS leader Joginipally Santhosh Kumar on Saturday announced that a yearly fund of Rs 1 crore will be allocated for the development of the thousand Pillar Temple which is considered the replica of artistic glory of the Kakatiyas. On Saturday, Santosh made the announcement during his visit to Warangal to participate in various programmes and offer special prayers to Goddess Bhadrakali and Lord Rudreswara in the district.

The TRS MP also inspected the thousand-pillared temple in Hanamakonda. Following this, Santosh expressed serious concern on the neglect of the preservation of the magnificent works of art and sculpture in temple by the Central Archeology Department.

The TRS leader also became upset about the delay in the completion of the construction of a wedding hall in the vicinity.

Santosh also asserted the need to the conservation of our history and culture. Considering the development of the thousand-pillared temple, which attracts world tourism, is the responsibility of all, the TRS MP said and announced Rs 1 crore funds every year to help the restoration of the historical temple. 

As part of Green India Challenge, Santosh along with district public representatives planted saplings in Bhadrakali Ammavari Temple and Thousand Pillar Temple. The Thousand Pillar Temple was believed to be constructed during the period between 1175–1324 CE.

Later, the MP fed the cows at the Goshala.

Santosh said that the state government is striving sincerely for the development of the twin cities of Hanmakonda and Warangal after the state capital of Hyderabad. He expressed happiness that Warangal city is developing faster than ever before. Santosh said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao developed special affection for Warangal.
