The governor said that obstacles were being put in her way as she tried to connect with the public. She also criticised Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for declining her invites to visit Raj Bhavan.
She stated that she is having difficulties in her endeavours to sincerely serve the people of Telangana. "None of my actions are driven by personal interests. I don't like to stir up controversy. I am a positive individual," said the governor.
She also claimed that when her office approached the state government for the speech, it was not provided. She defended delivering her speech on occasion. "Don't I have a right to talk? Should I just read out what the state government gives on Republic Day," she questioned.
The governor also mentioned that when she visited Medaram for the Samakka, Saarakka event, the Governor's office requested a helicopter from the government. They delayed their response and left us in the dark. Governor Tamilisai said that she had to travel by road for eight hours.
"We transformed the Raj Bhavan into 'Praja' Bhavan. People were comfortable walking into Raj Bhavan. This increased the confidence of the people. We have conducted reassuring programs during the pandemic. We went to the tribals and started working for them. We adopted four villages. We have provided nutritious food to cure Anaemia among Adivasis. We have also organised Mahila Darbar for women. This is how I diligently work sincerely towards the people." Guv Tamilisai concluded.
