Telangana Teachers Recruitment: Minister Sabitha Reddy Meets Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan

Telangana Teachers Recruitment: Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy briefed the Governor that there would not be any issues in executing reservations while conducting recruitment.

Telangana Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy met with Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan at Raj Bhavan on Thursday. During the meet, the Minister conveyed the government's position on the teachers recruitment in universities through the proposed Telangana Universities Common Recruitment Board.

Sabitha Indra Reddy was accompanied to the Raj Bhavan by education secretary Vakati Karuna, commissioner, Collegiate and Technical Education Navin Mittal and chairman of the Telangana State Council for Higher Education Prof. R. Limbadri.

During the meeting, the Governor raised a number of issues, including the need for complete transparency in the Board's recruitment process, starting recruitment as soon as possible in an unbiased manner, maintaining eligibility-based recruitment, strictly adhering to UGC norms for faculty recruitment, and listening to the concerns of state aspirants.

The Governor also instructed the Minister and authorities to prioritise enhancing the infrastructure of State universities with a particular emphasis on upgrading hostel and laboratory facilities.

She also advised expanding the Chancellor Connects Alumni programme at all institutions in order to increase alumni participation in the universities' overall development.

Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy briefed the Governor that there would not be any issues in executing reservations while conducting recruitment through the Board and also clarified doubts raised by the Governor.
