Telangana Minister KTR Asks PM Modi To Sanction Mega Powerloom Cluster As Return Gift For G20 Logo
Meanwhile, the weaver who sent the G20 logo to the PM, Yedhi Hariprasad, said the artwork took three days to create and was sent on November 24.
Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mention of a Telangana weaver who handed him a G20 logo woven with his own hands, Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao said the best way to repay the Siricilla weavers would be to sanction a mega power loom cluster in the upcoming Union Budget and make GST zero on handloom products.
Minister KTR tweeted on Sunday, "Dear Narendra Modi Ji, the best return gift to my weaver brothers & sisters in Siricilla will be to sanction a Mega Powerloom cluster in Union Budget, 2023 and making GST Zero on Handloom products. Hope you will oblige".

Modi praised the 'unique present' from a weaver from Telangana, Hariprasad, who sent the PM a G20 logo stitched by him in his 95th Mann ki Baat broadcast.
The Telangana government had written to the Centre multiple times, pushing it to approve a Mega Powerloom Cluster (MPC) in Sircilla under the Comprehensive Powerloom Cluster Development Scheme (CPCDS).
