Telangana: Hyderabad To Do A First, 100% Covid-19 Vaccination In 15 Days

Hyderabad: According to the Centre, Telangana's Hyderabad is taking a giant leap in vaccinating its people. The Telangana government made a bold statement special The city is making strides in terms of pushing people to get vaccinated. In a press conference on Thursday, Telangana Director of Public Health Dr G Srinivasa Rao urged people to get vaccinated at the earliest.
“In Hyderabad, we have vaccinated more people than the estimated population as per the Centre. In the city, nearly 117 per cent people (100 per cent accounting for the Centre’s estimate of the population) have taken at least one dose of the vaccine, showing encouraging signs of herd immunity," said the DPH in a press conference as quoted by The New Indian Express.

Hyderabad is pushing people to get vaccinated by creating awareness among the people about the significance of getting vaccinated. In this context, it was reported that 80 more mobile vaccination vans would be deployed to the fleet of already existing 80 mobile vaccination vans across the state.
In the backdrop of this, the Telangana government might consider to ban unvaccinated people to enter public places in the city, according to a report in The New Indian Express.
While the country is faring well in vaccinating its citizens of different age groups with 57.22 crore people have been vaccinated so far.
