Telangana: High Court Directs Government To Conduct One Lakh RT-PCR Tests Daily
High Court directed the government to submit a report with full details and adjourned the hearing of the petition to May 25.
Hyderabad: Telangana High Court on Monday held a hearing on the corona situation in the state. The High Court has directed the state government to increase the number of RT PCR tests to one lakh as the omicron variant is spreading fast.
The High Court suggested that the calculations for the details of the Rapid Antigen tests and RT-PCR should be specified separately in the daily covid bulletin. The tribunal stated that the rules of physical distance and masks must be strictly enforced, and more vigilance is needed to control corona penetration.

State Medical Health Department officials have submitted a report to the High Court on the situation prevailing across Telangana till the 12th of this month. An inquiry was held in the High Court based on this report.
Medchal district had the highest positivity rate of 6.95 per cent till the 12th of this month, the government said in a statement. Officials told the court in their report that Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) also had a positive rate of 5.65 per cent.
Due to growing Covid cases, the High Court will hear the cases virtually from tomorrow. The High Court bench said that virtual hearings will be held again due to the spread of Covid.
The state government has already outlawed rallies, public meetings, and other public events as part of its efforts to combat the spread of Covid.It has also extended school holidays until January 30 for all educational institutions.
