The Hare Krishna Heritage tower will be another cultural landmark for Hyderabad and will highlight Telangana's heritage in the form of Kakatiya architectural elements.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has laid the foundation for the 400-foot Hare Krishna Heritage Tower in Hyderabad. The tower, which also consists of temples, will be constructed on six acres of land in Narsingi for Rs 200 crore.
The temples of Sri Radha Krishna and Sri Venkateswara Swamy will be located in the tower. On behalf of the state government, the Chief Minister announced Rs 25 crore donation for the construction of the temple. KCR said that the Telangana government supports organisations that follow spirituality, devotional practices and aim for universal peace.
The Hare Krishna Heritage tower will be another cultural landmark for Hyderabad. It will highlight Telangana's heritage in the form of Kakatiya architectural elements.
Accommodation facilities will be available for 1,500 devotees. To conserve Telangana's historical and cultural heritage, construction projects will be carried out utilising cutting-edge technology and the expertise of the Kakatiyas.
The tower will also have an Annadanam hall, where 500 visiting devotees will be served food at one time. A library, Kalyanai Auditorium, IMAX open-air theatres, Q complex, lecture halls, and guest rooms will be part of the temple structures. Technologically advanced laser shows will be arranged to help youth understand the history of Lord Krishna and his teachings.

The Chief Minister described temples as community centres. "All religions connect with the temple. Religion is universal. There is nothing wrong with religion. Religious ignorance and fanaticism are threats to us. Religion does not encourage us to make mistakes. But religious stupidity drives all human beings into madness. Religious madness drives humans to commit inhuman acts," he said, adding that there is no place for violence in any religion.
CM KCR termed Hare Krishna's support for the Telangana government commendable. Akshaya Patra is supplying meals through Annapoorna to schoolchildren and providing food for the poor in Hyderabad without stopping for a single day. This is a testament to their dedication. "Thank you, Akshaya Patra, on behalf of the people of Telangana," he said.
