KCR’s Daughter And BRS MLC Kavitha Takes Jibe At Rahul Gandhi
Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, Kavitha claimed that it was like a cat undertaking a Haj yatra after killing 100 mice.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) legislator and daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), K. Kavitha slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his allegation that democracy and the Constitution are facing threats in Telangana. She stated that as long as KCR remains the chief minister of Telangana, there is no threat to the democratic values and the Constitution. Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, a walk aimed at spreading communal harmony in the country, Kavitha claimed that it was like a cat undertaking a Haj yatra after killing 100 mice.
"Rahul Gandhi says that the Constitution and democracy are under threat, but the truth is that Telangana has a powerful leader and a powerful democracy, and the Constitution is thriving under the leadership of CM KCR," she said.
Speaking at a public gathering in Bodhan, a segment of the Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency where she plans to contest next year's election, Kavitha appealed to voters to re-elect the incumbent MLA Shakeel Ahmed in the assembly polls to be held later this year.
Kavitha dismissed rumours about Muslims in Telangana considering support for the Congress party in the upcoming elections. She said that Muslims are with the BRS party. Stating that the BRS government had maintained communal harmony in the state for the last 10 years, she said there will not be any communal riots or law and order situation in Telangana under the rule of KCR.
She questioned the Congress about what it has done for Muslims in its 62-year rule in the country since independence.
"The Congress talked of removing poverty, but it removed the poor," she remarked.
Claiming that KCR brought a revolution in a decade, she asked minorities to ponder. "Why should you vote for Congress? How many years do you want to give them a chance," she asked.
She asserted that only a dedicated and powerful leader like CM KCR can ensure harmony, development, and empowerment for all sections. Kavitha said that BRS wants to create a similar atmosphere across the country.
The MLC stated that since the establishment of Telangana state, the BRS government has implemented schemes that extend to every household, ensuring no discrimination based on caste or religion.
She said that some elements in India divide people in the name of caste, but in Telangana, self-respect buildings are being built for each caste in Hyderabad, and the government is helping all caste professions.
