'Irresponsible': Telangana Minister KTR Asks BJP's Bandi Sanjay To Apologise Over Students' Death Allegation
KT Rama Rao warned Telangana state BJP president that legal action would be taken against him if the baseless allegations were not stopped.
Hyderabad: TRS Working President KT Rama Rao on Thursday warned Telangana state BJP president that legal action would be taken against him if the baseless allegations were not stopped and demanded a public apology for the rhetoric.
Bandi Sanjay told a gathering during his 'Padayatra' that Minister KTR was the cause of the death of 27 intermediate students in Telangana. The Telangana BJP posted this video on Twitter. KTR responded to the post as the allegations were serious.
BS Kumar, if you don’t stop this ludicrous, baseless & irresponsible allegations, I’ll be constrained to take legal action
— KTR (@KTRTRS) May 12, 2022
If you have an iota of evidence to prove what you allege, please put it in public domain or else apologise publicly for this BS rhetoric https://t.co/YaskNVfJqj
In the video, Bandi Sanjay Kumar alleged that in the Intermediate exam results released in December last year, 51 per cent of students failed. Due to this, many students became mentally ill and committed suicide. One student tweeted that Minister KTR was the cause of his death. In all, about twenty-seven students committed suicide.
He said that the students were worried that the classes were not conducted properly due to the corona but were subjected to rigorous tests, and hence even the well-educated failed. Due to an increase in student suicides, the Telangana government decided to assess the situation and pass all students.
