'I Don't Want Z Category Security, Make Me An A Category Citizen': AIMIM MP Owaisi Over Attack On His Vehicle

New Delhi: A day after an alleged attack on his car in Uttar Pradesh, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday in Parliament rejected Z category security but demanded the government to make him an 'A' category citizen. He further appealed the government to end hate and radicalisation over the minorities, reports ANI news agency.

"I don't fear death. I don't want Z category security, I reject it; make me an 'A' category citizen. I'll not remain silent. Please do justice...charge them (shooters) with UAPA...appeal govt to end hate, radicalization," Owaisi said as quoted by ANI news agency.

Meanwhile, in the same context, AIMIM supporters staged a protest in Hyderabad's Charminar area condemning the attack on the Hyderabad MP. A large number of security was deployed in the region to keep the protesting crowd in control. The protests are a result of an attack on Owaisi's vehicle in Uttar Pradesh.

On Thursday, shots were fired upon Owaisi's car at Hapur toll plaza after he was returning from a campaign in Meerut ahead of polls in Uttar Pradesh.
