Reacting to the incident, MBT leader Amjed Ullah Khan blamed the local municipal authorities for the death.
Hyderabad: Mohammed Zahed, an employee of Sohail Hotel, in Hyderabad's Malakpet, was trying to save the public by putting a board at a massive pothole in the middle of the road when he was hit by a speeding car. He was admitted to Osmania General Hospital, where he breathed his last while undergoing treatment on Tuesday.
Reacting to the incident, MBT (Majlis Bachao Tehreek) leader Amjed Ullah Khan blamed the local municipal authorities for the death. He said that number of complaints were given to Samrath Ashok Zonal Commissioner (Charminar Zone) GHMC to fill this big pothole causing accidents.
Although the event occurred 48 hours ago, the GHMC has not been at the spot to fill this large pothole in the centre of the road, claimed Khan. He also requested municipal administration minister KTR to intervene and take action on the officials whose negligence caused the man's death.

He also demanded that Hyderabad Police book a case of criminal negligence against the GHMC Officials. In addition, he urged compensation for providing a government job with Rs 10 lakhs and a two-bedroom flat to the victim's family as he lost his life while trying to save others.
On the other hand, the Hyderabad Traffic Police has been taking measures for the past three days to ensure that motorists travel without any problem during these rains. GHMC and traffic police coordinated and identified the areas where rainwater stagnates on the roads and causes problems for motorists. The traffic police have identified all 50 water logging points in the city and are paying special attention to them. Traffic Joint CP Ranganath is inspecting the water logging points.
