Hoax Bomb Threat Call Halts Tirupati-Adilabad Krishna Express At Moulali Station
A control room received a threat message saying, “I think Terrorists are In Krishna Express Train Number 17405 please tell all Our Passengers Switch Into Flight Mode Fast”.
Chennai: The Railways Department received a message regarding terrorists in Krishna Express train from Adilabad to Tirupati on Friday. The railways department and bomb squad rushed into service and conducted a thorough check of the train only to find out that the message was a hoax.
On Friday, the Rachakonda police commissionerate control received a threat message saying, “I think Terrorists are In Krishna Express Train Number 17405 please tell all Our Passengers Switch Into Flight Mode Fast”.
After the message, the officials rushed to Moulali railway station and conducted a thorough check of the train. However, the officials did not find any suspicious activities or explosives.
Following this, the police registered a case against the messenger and started the investigation. Later, the police tracked and zeroed down on a person identified as Kiran.
A press release said, “GRP/Secunderabad identified the caller (Kiran) and took him into custody and seized his mobile phone containing the message. IG-PCSC/SC visited and supervised the operation. No suspicious persons/terrorist found. Nothing untoward noticed. Train left from Moula-Ali Railway Station at 10.15 pm.”
“Kiran, S/o.Satyanarayana, who was injured/disturbed during Telangana Police Recruitment Physical Efficiency Test was travelling along with his father on the said train from Mahabubabad to Secunderabad. During their journey, Kiran sent a message to the Police control room,” it said.

Earlier, Hyderabad police received a hoax bomb threat call in November. The police received a call alleging that bombs were placed in places of worship. Following this, police searched temples and mosques in IS Sadan road area. They also conducted searches at various other localities. The bomb squad was also pressed for service. However, the police later found the call to be a hoax.
