How To Use WhatsApp’s Document Scanning Feature

Here’s a detailed guide to make the most of this new capability:

  • Access the Document-Sharing Menu: Open a chat or group where you want to share the document, then navigate to the document-sharing option.
  • Select the “Scan” Option: Tap on the newly added "scan" feature to activate your phone’s camera.
  • Capture the Document: Position the document within the camera’s viewfinder and take a picture.
  • Preview and Adjust: After capturing, review the scan and make necessary edits, such as rotating or cropping.
  • Fine-Tune Margins: Adjust the edges to ensure the document is framed properly for clear viewing.
  • Send the Document: Once satisfied, share the scanned document instantly in a chat or group.

This addition is expected to enhance productivity, particularly for users who frequently need to send important documents, whether for personal or professional purposes. The seamless integration eliminates the hassle of switching between apps or downloading additional tools.
