Amit Shah Inaugurates FTI-TTP At Delhi Airport To Revolutionise Travel Experience For Indian Nationals & Overseas Citizens

FTI-TTP in simpler words is an initiative taken by the Centre which aims to enhance travel convenience and efficiency of Indian nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday inaugurated the 'Fast Track Immigration Trusted Traveller Programme' (FTI-TTP) at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in New Delhi. This program has been designed to revolutionise the travel experience of Indian nationals and Overseas Citizen of India cardholders to make their travels more seamless, faster, and secure.

After the inauguration, Shah tweeted, "Launched the Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Program today. It is a groundbreaking initiative meticulously designed for Indian nationals and Overseas Citizen of India cardholders to make their travels more seamless, faster, and secure. Our government is committed to enhancing convenience and efficiency during travel for everyone."

What Is FTI-TTP & How Will The Registration Be Done? 

FTI-TTP in simpler words is an initiative taken by the Centre which aims to enhance travel convenience and efficiency of Indian nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders.

If an eligible individual wishes to be a part of this then they can apply online and submit their biometrics (fingerprint and facial image) along with other necessary information which will be specified in the application form.

Applicants will have to upload a passport-sized photograph in JPEG format (size ranging from 10 KB to 1 MB) along with the first and last pages of their passport (size not exceeding 1 MB). Further, they will also have to submit two scanned copies of documents, such as the OCI card for Indians settled overseas in PDF format (size ranging from 10 KB to 1 MB), and proof of address in PDF format (size ranging from 10 KB to 1 MB), are also required.

Users will have to pay the processing charges (non-refundable) upon submission. The non-refundable FTI-TTP processing fees for Indian nationals will be Rs 2000, for Indian nationals who are minors, it will be Rs 1000, and lastly, it will be $100 for OCI cardholders.

Necessary verifications and confirmation of eligibility will be done after which the registration will be completed.

FTI Registration Validity

The FTI registration remains valid for a maximum of five years or until the expiration of the passport, whichever occurs first. Once approved, individuals will be notified to arrange an appointment to submit their biometric information, which can be completed at a designated international airport in India or the closest FRRO office.

Providing biometrics is mandatory to finalise the application process, and applicants must ensure that their passports remain valid for at least six months when applying for FTI-TTP. Membership in the program will end when the passport expires. Applicants must furnish their current residential address to prevent the rejection of their application.
