Grok AI, owned by tech billionaire Elon Musk's xAI, is now accessible in India through X (formerly Twitter) for Premium+ subscribers only. The subscription is priced at Rs 2,299 per month or Rs 22,900 per year, which is much more than the subscription fee of ChatGPT Plus, when subscribed through a smartphone. Opting for Grok AI subscription through a desktop with X Premium+ entails a monthly fee of Rs 1,300 or an annual cost of Rs 13,600. Currently in its early access phase, Grok AI is exclusively available within the top-tier X subscription plan.

Tecno Ropes In Deepika Padukone As Brand Ambassador

Handset maker Tecno has roped in Bollywood actress Deepkia Padukone as its brand ambassador. Tecno's collaboration with Padukone strategically aims to engage with the dynamic and youthful demographic. Padukone's fashion-forward persona harmonizes with Tecno's stylish and innovative smartphone lineup, the company has said. She is said to play an active role in various brand and product launches throughout the year, ensuring a continuous and impactful presence.

Apple Appeals ITC Ruling That Bans Sales Of Watch Series 9 And Watch Ultra 2

Apple has lodged an appeal against the US International Trade Commission's (ITC) ruling to ban the sale of Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 models in the United States. In the legal filing, Apple highlighted the potential "irreparable harm" the company may face if its latest Watches continue to be unavailable for purchase during the ongoing legal proceedings. On Tuesday, the technology giant submitted an urgent plea to the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, seeking an immediate suspension of the ban, says a report by news agency Reuters.

Vivo X100 Lineup India Launch On January 4

Smartphone maker Vivo has officially revealed its plans to introduce the flagship Vivo X100 series in India on January 4, 2024. The series would comprise a standard model and a Pro variant, both originally launched in China on November 14. The global versions of the Vivo X100 lineup of smartphones are said to be similar to their Chinese counterparts. The Vivo X100 and X100 Pro have a similar appearance and are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset. The key distinctions between the two phones are in their different battery capacities and camera configurations.

Chameleon Trojan Malware Can Disable Biometric Unlock, Steal Passwords

A recently discovered a variant of the "Chameleon Trojan" malware, as identified by security researchers, has been found to the capability to deactivate biometric authentication methods such as fingerprint and face unlock, and can disable the PIN of your phone. According to a recent report by Bleeping Computer, the creators of the malware assert that bundles of the Cameleon Trojan are invisible during runtime, enabling them to circumvent Google Protect alerts and evade detection by security software operating on the device.
