Huawei Dominates Global Wearables Market In Q2

In the second quarter of 2024 (April–June), global shipments of wearables, including smartbands and smartwatches, reached 43.7 million units. During this period, Huawei led the market, achieving the highest rankings in both shipments and market share. According to IDC’s latest wearable device tracker data, Huawei experienced a notable 42 per cent increase in year-on-year shipments, totalling 8.9 million units and capturing a 20.3 per cent market share.

Samsung Rolling Out Latest Security Update For Galaxy Z Fold 6

A day after announcing the fixes in the newest security patch for its Galaxy smartphones and tablets, Samsung is now rolling out this update to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 via a software update. The Galaxy Z Fold 6, Samsung's latest flagship foldable device, is the first in the Galaxy lineup to receive the September 2024 security update. The update, which has a build number of F956USQS1AXHB, is currently available in the US through AT&T and is approximately 440 MB in size. Other regions, including India, are expected to receive the update soon.

iPhone 16 Series Prices Leaked Ahead Of Launch

Apple is gearing up to launch the iPhone 16 series in less than a week, marking the company's first major venture into artificial intelligence (AI), which Apple calls "Apple Intelligence." These AI-driven features are expected to roll out with the iOS 18 update later this year. Along with new features and AI capabilities, the upcoming iPhone 16 lineup is anticipated to see a price increase.
