iPhone 16 Series Prices Leaked Ahead Of Launch

Along with new features and AI capabilities, the upcoming iPhone 16 lineup is anticipated to see a price increase.

Apple is gearing up to launch the iPhone 16 series in less than a week, marking the company's first major venture into artificial intelligence (AI), which Apple calls "Apple Intelligence." These AI-driven features are expected to roll out with the iOS 18 update later this year. Along with new features and AI capabilities, the upcoming iPhone 16 lineup is anticipated to see a price increase.

According to leaked information from Apple Hub, here are the likely prices for the upcoming iPhone 16 series:

iPhone 16 – $799 (approx Rs 66,300)
iPhone 16 Plus – $899 (approx Rs 74,600)
iPhone 16 Pro – $1,099 (approx Rs 91,200)
iPhone 16 Pro Max – $1,199 (approx Rs 99,500)

While these prices closely resemble the iPhone 15 launch prices, final prices in India will likely differ due to several taxes and duties. However, recent reports confirmed that the iPhone 16 would be assembled in India, in collaboartion with Apple's biggest contract manufacturer Apple, thus, leading to a slight reduction in prices. In the case of the iPhone 15, Apple had reduced prices by up to Rs 6,000, thanks to changes in duty rates within the country.

Meanwhile, as per several leaks and rumours, we can expect the following improvements in the iPhone 16 series:

Revamped Camera Layout

The non-Pro iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are said to feature a return to the vertical camera alignment, reminiscent of the iPhone 12 series. This marks a departure from the diagonal arrangement introduced with the iPhone 13. The vertical design could enhance spatial video recording, a feature that pairs well with devices like the Vision Pro. While the specific benefits are not fully clear, this change may accommodate a larger sensor or improved image capture.

Larger Displays

The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models are expected to come with larger displays, surpassing the screen sizes of their predecessors. Rumours suggest the iPhone 16 Pro may increase to 6.2-6.3 inches, while the Pro Max could reach 6.8-6.9 inches, compared to the 6.1 and 6.7 inches on the iPhone 15 Pro models.

New Colour Options

Apple may introduce a fresh range of colours for the iPhone 16 series, including black, green, pink, blue, and white. However, some popular colours from previous models, such as purple and yellow, might not be available this time around. With these updates, the iPhone 16 lineup promises to bring a blend of design refreshes and enhanced features.

New Functional Buttons

Apple may introduce two additional buttons in the iPhone 16 series: a revamped version of the traditional Mute Switch and a completely new button aimed at expanding functionality, similar to the Pro models’ Action Button. This new button could provide quicker access to commonly used features such as the camera, flashlight, and personalised shortcuts.

Slimmer Bezels, Sleeker Design

One of the most anticipated design changes for the iPhone 16 series is the noticeably thinner bezels, particularly on the Pro models. These reduced bezels are designed to enhance the overall viewing experience by maximising screen real estate and giving the device a more modern, edge-to-edge appearance.
