The 39-year-old has taken on the role of government relations head, indicating OpenAI's commitment to engaging with policymakers as the global conversation around AI regulation intensifies.

While the company has not officially announced the appointment, Bloomberg has reported that Misra will lead OpenAI's public policy initiatives and forge strategic partnerships within India.
