OnePlus Watch 3 Might Monitor Your Heart Health & Blood Vessel Elasticity In 60 Seconds

OnePlus Watch 3 is anticipated to launch globally alongside the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R.

The OnePlus Watch 2, released in February this year, might soon have a successor as rumours about the OnePlus Watch 3 continue to surface online. A recent report highlights potential new health features for the upcoming smartwatch, with evidence reportedly found in the latest version of the OHealth app. Speculation suggests the OnePlus Watch 3 could debut during the global launch event for the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R.

According to Android Authority, insights into these features emerged from an APK teardown of the OHealth app's latest version, 4.30.11_e27d199_241122. The OnePlus Watch 3 is expected to include an ECG function capable of detecting conditions such as atrial fibrillation (AFib), frequent PVCs, and abnormal heart rates. While some features might require specific phone compatibility, the ECG functionality could also be accessed directly on the watch itself.

Additionally, the app hints at a Wrist Temperature feature, which may require users to establish a baseline by wearing the watch for at least five days, with a minimum of one four-hour sleep session during this period.

The OnePlus Watch 3 series is rumoured to introduce a 60-second Checkup feature, designed to monitor heart health, blood vessel elasticity, and sleep snoring. This feature is expected to utilize seven key health indicators, including blood oxygen levels, ECG readings, sleep patterns, and vascular age, among others. Additionally, the OHealth app is said to gain new capabilities, such as a dedicated Health tab featuring Health Insights and a Health Journey tracker.
