Many iPhone users eagerly anticipate new iOS updates, but it seems the latest version has introduced some setbacks. According to a recent report, a significant number of users who upgraded to iOS 18 since its release in September 2024 have experienced various connectivity issues, including frequent call drops and faster battery drain.
A survey conducted by LocalCircles this month indicates that many users are dissatisfied with the iOS 18 update, and the issues persist even for those who have upgraded to iOS 18.1 or iOS 18.2, reported News18.
Apple iOS 18 Update Is Worsening iPhone's Performance?
The survey reveals that 6 out of 10 iPhone users in the country are encountering network-related problems and call drops. With feedback from over 45,000 respondents, the survey provides a substantial sample size worth noting.These problems appear to also negatively impact battery life.
According to News18, the connectivity challenges extend to apps like WhatsApp and Signal, making it difficult for users to rely on them for voice calls. Many are attributing these issues to the iOS 18 update, and it’s hoped that future updates will address these problems. However, it’s important to note that such issues are more prevalent among users running beta versions of iOS 18, which is generally discouraged on primary devices.
