Flipkart Launches UPI Handle In Partnership With Axis Bank To Counter Third-Party Apps

Flipkart's UPI offering distinguishes itself through user-friendly and cost-effective solutions, complemented by a streamlined onboarding process.

On Sunday, Flipkart took a noteworthy step into the digital payments domain with the launch of its proprietary UPI handle, @fkaxis, in partnership with Axis Bank. Alongside this unveiling, the e-commerce giant introduced a pioneering initiative titled 'India’s Most Rewarding UPI.' Presently accessible exclusively to Android smartphone users through the Flipkart app, individuals can seamlessly register for a new UPI ID, unlocking a spectrum of features, including fund transfers and in-app payments.

Users also enjoy the convenience of one-click payments, facilitating swift transactions for mobile recharges and bill payments directly within the app. Furthermore, Flipkart enhances its financial services repertoire with the introduction of the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card.

What Does It Mean For Users

Dheeraj Aneja, Senior Vice President of the Fintech and Payments Group at Flipkart, emphasised the commitment to delivering a top-notch commerce experience to customers. This includes not only secure and convenient payment options but also a range of rewards and benefits such as Supercoins and Brand Vouchers. Aneja highlighted that the introduction of Flipkart UPI aligns with their dedication to fostering a digitally empowered society, reinforcing its position as a key player in India's ongoing digital transformation.
