TN BJP Exerts Pressure On DMK Over Implementing Promise Of Rs 1,000 For Women Family Heads

Chennai: Two days after Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin assured to soon provide Rs 1,000 financial assistance to women family heads, Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai brought the issue back during the campaign and exerted pressure on the DMK-led government to fulfill the promise. He also alleged that MK Stalin forgot about the promise he made during the 2021 Assembly election to provide Rs 1,000 per month to women heads of families.
According to a report on IANS, Annamalai while addressing an election rally in Thanjavur said, the Chief Minister remembers promises only if people begin to question him. The CM started talking about Rs 1,000 aid for women heads only in the past two days.

However, the government is saying that the scheme will be implemented and the money will be sanctioned but how can the money be sanctioned without a government order.

Earlier, Tamil Nadu CM Stalin addressing the party supporters in Dindigul said, it's our duty to rescue the people stuck in hate and importantly we are not taking these efforts due to the election but for the welfare of Tamil people.
Later, he said, the DMK government will not cheat anyone so Rs 1,000 monthly assistance will be given to the family heads soon. The words given by Stalin will be fulfilled, he said.
