TN BJP Exerts Pressure On DMK Over Implementing Promise Of Rs 1,000 For Women Family Heads

He pointed out that there was also no sanction for the scheme in the budget.

Chennai: Two days after Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin assured to soon provide Rs 1,000 financial assistance to women family heads, Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai brought the issue back during the campaign and exerted pressure on the DMK-led government to fulfill the promise. He also alleged that MK Stalin forgot about the promise he made during the 2021 Assembly election to provide Rs 1,000 per month to women heads of families.

According to a report on IANS, Annamalai while addressing an election rally in Thanjavur said, the Chief Minister remembers promises only if people begin to question him. The CM started talking about Rs 1,000 aid for women heads only in the past two days.
