Chennai Rain Relief: 98% Aid Distribution Complete, Says Tamil Nadu CM Stalin
Stalin said that the state had allocated Rs 6,000 to those impacted by the floods and accomplished the task of distributing it in a span of two weeks.
Around 98% of the monetary distribution to residents in Chennai, Chengalpet, Tiruvallur, and Kanchipuram has been completed, said Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Friday regarding flood relief funds. He said that the state had allocated Rs 6,000 to those impacted by the floods and accomplished the task of distributing it in a span of two weeks. Stalin made this announcement during his participation in a Christmas Celebration Event at Don Bosco School in Perambur.
Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin said, "During the floods in the state, several relief works were done and our ministers and DMK leaders were on the ground to serve people."
"We announced to provide Rs 6,000 to the people affected by floods and finished our promise within 2 weeks. 98% work of the distribution of money to the people of Chennai, Chengalpet, Tiruvallur and Kanchipuram have been completed," he said.
