Tamil Nadu: Mobile Snatchers Behead Man For Resisting Robbery Bid In Tirupur

Chennai: The Tirupur police on Monday formed four special teams to nab the members of a gang who were responsible for beheading a 25-year-old man in Tirupur on Sunday. A gang of miscreants allegedly beheaded a youth for resisting their attempt to snatch his mobile phone in the district on Sunday.
According to a report on Times of India, the police identified the victim as M Sathish of Konarajapuram in Mayiladuthurai and he was working in an embroidery unit in Serangadu.
M Sathish was also residing with Ranjith from Trichy by renting out a room in Tirupur near their workplace.

On Sunday, as it was an off day for both the roommates, Sathish and Ranjith went to an empty plot near a private school on Sunday to consume alcohol. While they were having alcohol, suddenly a gang on three motorcycles threatened the duo at knifepoint.
They tried to snatch Sathish's phone but he resisted. Immediately, the gang reportedly took out a sickle and beheaded him. They took the severed head and fled the place.

However, Ranjith reached the main road and received help from the passersby. He was taken to Tirupur Government Medical College Hospital for treatment.
Ranjith is also reportedly facing criminal charges against him in Trichy.
