Soldier Death: Tamil Nadu BJP Leader Booked For ‘Well-Trained In Using Bombs’ Remark

Pandian, BJP National Executive Committee member said, "Ex-servicemen are well-trained in using bombs and guns and the government should not push the veterans into using them."

Chennai: The Chennai police registered a case against BJP National Executive Committee member and ex-serviceman Colonel BB Pandian for his controversial statement during a strike organised by BJP in Chennai on Tuesday. During the meeting, Pandian warned the DMK government by saying that they are well-trained in using bombs and guns and the government shouldn’t force them to use them.

Earlier, BJP organised protests in connection with the death of a soldier after an attack by a mob led by DMK councillor in Krishnagiri.

According to ANI, “Chennai Police registered a case against BJP National Executive Committee member and ex-serviceman Colonel BB Pandian (retired) over his controversial remark during a hunger strike organised by BJP in Chennai over the murder of an Army jawan allegedly by a DMK councillor. “

During the protest, Pandian, as per ANI, said, “I am warning the Tamil Nadu government. The Indian Army is the second-largest army in the world and the most disciplined. If you provoke Army jawans, it is not good for the state, nor for the government.”

“If you attempt to test us, the law and order in the state will not be maintained if that happens,” he said.

Pandian warned: “Ex-servicemen are well-trained in using bombs and guns and the government should not push the veterans into using them. We know all these things but we don’t want to do them.”

“I request the state government not to make us do these things. This is a warning,” he said.
