The second term of Modi government which resumed Central governance in 2019 has been on the radar of Opposition and critics on various fronts including its handling of Covid crisis, unemployment, economic downfall, and others.

Chennai (Tamil Nadu): As Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government completes two years of its second term, ABP News along with C-Voter conducted a survey to gauge the mood of the nation and understand the political sentiments of people.

The second term of Modi government which resumed Central governance in 2019 has been on the radar of Opposition and critics on various fronts including its handling of Covid crisis, unemployment, economic downfall, and others.

During the survey, respondents from Tamil Nadu were asked several questions pertaining to Modi government's performance over the last two years. These questions ranged from Covid pandemic to farmers' crisis, performance of PM Modi, unemployment, and others.

When asked which is the most important problem of current times, 45 per cent of respondents from Tamil Nadu said it to be the Coronavirus pandemic. 10 per cent participants voted for issues related to agriculture and farmers.

In Tamil Nadu, Rahul Gandhi emerged as the top choice for Prime Minister post with 23 per cent respondents voting in his favour. Narendra Modi managed to bag 22 per cent votes in the survey.

However, it must be noted that a countrywide survey conducted by CVoter revealed that PM Modi still remains to be the most preferred choice for PM with 42 per cent respondents voting in his favour. Countrywide, Rahul Gandhi managed to bag the confidence of mere 12 per cent people.

Moving ahead, 10 per cent participants in Tamil Nadu said unemployment to be one of most important issues whereas 4 per cent said family income/poverty is the prime concern.

Other issues such as rising prices and economic status gained 5 per cent and 2 per cent votes, respectively.
