'No Need For DMK To Fear Such Statement': MP Kanimozhi On PM's 'DMK, Cong Will Be Wiped Off In TN' Jibe

In a criticism of DMK in Tamil Nadu, PM Modi on Friday branded the Dravidian party as an 'enemy' of state's future and accused it of nurturing animosity towards the nation, culture and heritage

A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's stern remarks on the DMK and the I.N.D.I.A bloc during a campaign in Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumari, DMK MP Kanimozhi responded, stating they had witnessed similar statements before. Addressing the PM's assertion that 'DMK and Congress will be wiped out in Tamil Nadu', she noted that many who had made such predictions about the DMK's fate were no longer relevant.

According to ANI, DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi on PM Modi's statement 'DMK and Congress will be wiped off in Tamil Nadu' said, "I have said many times already, Many of those who said we will wipe off DMK is nowhere now. We have seen many such already. There is no need for DMK to fear from such statements."

In a scathing criticism of the ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu on Friday, Prime Minister branded the Dravidian party as a 'foe' of the state's future, accusing it of nurturing animosity towards the nation, its culture, and heritage. He condemned the opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc for their alleged involvement in "scams" amounting to several crores of rupees, contrasting it with the public initiatives achieved by his party-led NDA.

"The history of the DMK and Congress is loot. They want to come to power to loot the people. On one side is the BJP's welfare schemes, on the other (in the I.N.D.I.A bloc) is the scams of crores of rupees. We gave optical fibre, 5G and other digital initiatives. INDI alliance has 2G scam," he said, as per a report on PTI.
