FIDE Chess Olympiad 2022: Actor Rajinikanth Releases Teaser Featuring TN CM Stalin & AR Rahman
Chess Olympiad 2022 Chennai: The teaser directed to welcome the chess players and delegates also showed CM Stalin greeting them with folded hands.
Chennai: Tamil Nadu's 'Superstar' Rajinikanth launched the teaser for 44th International FIDE Chess Olympiad on social media on Friday. The music for the teaser was composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman and was directed by Vignesh Shivan. The video also showed CM Stalin welcoming chess players with folded hands.
The video features MK Stalin, AR Rahman and several other dancers. The teaser also portrays the heritage of Mamallapuram, the venue where the event is scheduled to take place on July 28. The teaser also shows shots of landmark places in Chennai including Napier Bridge and monuments in Mallamapuram. The dancers were also seen performing Bharathanatynam.
Rajinikanth said, as per a report on The Hindu said, "It's a matter of pride since it's the first time in India the 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad is being hosted in India, especially in Tamil Nadu. PM Modi is also expected to inaugurate the event on July 28."
The actor also wished a speedy recovery for TN CM Stalin.

Meanwhile, TN CM Stalin who has been admitted to the hospital for coronavirus treatment invited PM Modi to the International Chess Olympiad event in Mamallapuram on Friday.
The CM invited the PM while the former called on Stalin to inquire about his health.
The CM was also scheduled to meet PM in New Delhi for inviting him the inaugurating the event. However, due to the COVID-19 infection. A delegation of MPs T R Baalu and Kanimozhi would meet the Prime Minister to invite him for the inauguration.
