Yogi Adityanath Cabinet To Hold First Meeting In Ayodhya On Fourth Anniversary Of Ram Temple SC Verdict

The Uttar Pradesh cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to hold the historic meeting in Ayodhya for the first time.

The Uttar Pradesh cabinet led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to hold its first meeting in the holy city of Ayodhya on Thursday. The meeting comes on a day when the Supreme Court had passed its order four years ago paving the way for the construction of Ram Temple.

All the cabinet ministers have been asked to reach Ayodhya for the meeting that is scheduled to take place at 11:30 am on Thursday, Ayodhya District Magistrate Nitish Kumar told IANS. Ahead of the meeting Anti-Terrorism Squad has been deployed in Ayodhya to avoid any untoward incident.

Ministers who have been deputed on election duty in other states will also ensure their presence in Ayodhya, stated the IANS report, adding that some major announcements are likely to be made during the meeting, considering the importance of the location and the occasion.

"We are going to take historical decisions," UP Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak told ANI.

"Deepotsav ahead of Diwali will be celebrated in full grandeur, a record will be created. On Jan 22, PM Modi will inaugurate Ayodhya Ram Mandir and we all are waiting for it," he added.

Cabinet Minister Nand Gopal Nandi said, "The historic moment cannot be expressed in words. This day is historical and will be written in history in golden letters and we, the coming generations of this country and state."

The ministers are also scheduled to go for Ram Lalla's 'darshan' and are expected to take a round of the under-construction Ram temple and other prominent temples, including Hanumangarhi temple and Kanak Bhawan, added the IANS report quoting official sources as saying.

The construction of the ground floor of the three-storey Ram temple will be completed by December-end and the consecration ceremony is expected to take place on January 22, 2024.
