Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has said that she was the face of the party in Uttar Pradesh. Last month, Priyanka Gandhi hinted towards being the Congress' chief ministerial candidate from Uttar Pradesh. “You can see my face everywhere, can’t you,” she had responded when asked about the CM face in the state.

Congress is contesting the Uttar Pradesh Assembly this time with a strong women-centric “Ladki hun lad sakti hun” (I am a girl and I can fight) campaign. Under the initiative, many women candidates have been given party’s ticket to contest the election. Pankhuri Pathak from Noida, Sadaf Jafar from Lucknow Central and Asha Singh from Unnao are some of the prominent candidates.
Three phases of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections have already taken place and four more phases are to be completed. Votes will be counted on March 10.
