UPGIS 2023: Lucknow Gears Up To Host Global Investors Summit

Yogi Adityanath leads preparations for Grand Global Investors Summit 2023 with PM Modi and President Murmu likely to be in attendance.

The Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023 (UPGIS 2023) is set to take place in Lucknow from February 10 to 12. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath aims to make the event a grand one and present it as an example for other states. He has set a target to raise investments of Rs 17 lakh crore through UPGIS 2023. The chief minister is committed to making Uttar Pradesh not only a destination for tourists but also the growth engine of the country.

More than 20 Union ministers are expected to attend the summit, along with investors from around the world. Prime Minister Modi and President Draupadi Murmu may attend the opening and closing ceremonies as the chief guests, respectively.

Union ministers, including Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmal Sitharaman, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, are to attend the summit.

Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023 Preparations

A roster of participants from both within India and abroad is being made, along with a session-by-session schedule detailing. There will be eight sessions per day, the first being the inaugural session, and the rest dedicated to various partnerships and industry sectors. A cultural event is also planned for the end of each day.

Union ministers will play a crucial role in the event, with Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani, Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy, and Defence Minister Rajanath Singh participating in separate sessions on the first day. Retd Air Chief Marshal RK Singh Bhadauria is also expected to be part of the summit on Day 1.

On the second day, many ministers and leaders are expected to attend, including Textiles Minister Piyush Goyal, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.

The third and final day will be the most important, with programs organized for Commerce and Industry Minister Anupriya Patel, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who may lead the session on industrial financing.

Separate sessions will be held for partner countries, including Singapore, the Netherlands, Denmark, Japan, the UK, and Mauritius.

The sessions will convey messages to investors and will include participation from ambassadors and delegations of the relevant nations.
