UP MLC Result 2022 Winners List: BJP Headed For Big Win. Check Full List Here

The party has already won 9 out of 36 seats unopposed.

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party is eyeing to win the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council elections with a sweeping majority as it leads on most of the 27 seats, although it has lost the Varanasi seat to an independent candidate. The party has already won 9 out of 36 seats unopposed. 27 seats underwent polling for the Legislative Council across 58 districts in the state on April 9 and the counting of votes is underway today. 

Congress and the BSP did not field any candidate in the Legislative Council elections, making it a direct fight between the BJP and the Samajwadi Party.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s congratulated all the newly elected members of the Upper House. "Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the newly elected members of the Upper House of Uttar Pradesh," he tweeted.

BJP candidate Vageesh Pathak won from Badaun

BJP candidate Ashok Agrawal won from Hardoi

BJP candidate Anoop Gupta won from Lakhimpur Kheri

BJP candidate Jitendra Singh Sengar won from Banda-Hamirpur

BJP candidate Rishipal Singh won from Aligarh

BJP candidate Narendra Bhati won from Bulandshahr

BJP candidate Ramchandra Pradhan won from Lucknow-Unnao

BJP candidate Pragya Tripathi won from Bahraich-Shravasti

BJP candidate Dinesh Pratap Singh won from Rae Bareli

BJP candidate Pawan Singh Chauhan won from Sitapur

BJP candidate Subash Yaduvansh won from Basti-Siddharthnagar 

BJP candidate Ratanpal Singh won from Deoria-Kushinagar

BJP candidate Brajesh Singh won from Jaunpur

BJP candidate Angad Kumar Singh won from Barabanki

Voting was held for the following local authorities' constituencies — Moradabad-Bijnor, Rampur-Bareilly, Pilibhit-Shahjahanpur, Sitapur, Lucknow-Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh, Sultanpur, Barabanki, Bahraich, Gonda, Faizabad, Basti-Siddharthnagar, Gorakhpur-Maharajganj, Deoria, Azamgarh-Mau, Ballia, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Varanasi, Allahabad, Jhansi-Jalaun-Lalitpur, Kanpur-Fatehpur, Etawah-Farrukhabad, Agra-Firozabad, Meerut-Ghaziabad, and Muzaffarnagar-Saharanpur.

In the 100-member Legislative Council, the BJP had 34 MLCs, the Samajwadi Party (SP) had 17 and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) had four representatives. The Congress, Apna Dal (Sonelal), and NISHAD party had one member each while the Independent group Nirdal Samooh and Independents had 1 MLC each.
