UP Election 2022 | 20 Lakh Govt Jobs, Increase In Education Budget: Congress Launches Youth Manifesto
Congress Youth Manifesto UP: Priyanka Gandhi also addressed the issue of exam paper leak and said that strict action will be taken against it if Congress comes to power.
New Delhi: With Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election less than a month away, the Congress party launched its Youth manifesto for the youth population of the state. The manifesto was announced by Priyanka Gandhi in a press conference where senior Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Randeep Surjewala were also present.
“PM Modi's 2014 Vision Failed, Youth Of UP Need New Vision,” said Rahul Gandhi in the press conference.
With this youth manifesto, the Congress party aims to connect with the young voters of the state and made promises like 20 lakh government jobs for the youth and an increase in the education budget for the state, if elected to power. Priyanka also addressed the issue of exam paper leak and said that strict action will be taken against it if Congress comes to power.

Here are some of the other promises that the party made in its Youth Manifesto:
- Cheating And Fraud Cases In Exams Will Stopped. Strict punishment in case of exam paper leak.
- Bus-train fare exemption for candidates appearing for an examination for various government jobs.
- Large scale youth festival in the state
- 1 lakh police posts will be filled.
- 20 lakh government jobs, 8 lakh jobs for women.
- Recruitment for 8 thousand posts in higher education.
- 1.5 lakh posts of teachers will be filled.
- The budget for education will be raised.
- Free wifi, library, hostel mess facilities will be upgraded in colleges and universities.
- Placement cells in universities
- Timely pre/post matric scholarship for Dalit, SC, ST, OBC, EWS students. The amount of scholarship will also be raised.
- Rs 5 thousand crore seed startup fund.
Assembly Election in Uttar Pradesh is scheduled to commence from February 10 in seven phases. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
