Ballia Police Arrests ‘Mastermind’ Behind UP Board English Exam Paper Leak
So far, 46 persons have been arrested and sent to jail, the police added.
New Delhi: Ballia Police arrested a man on Sunday in connection with UP Board class 12th English exam question paper leak, reported news agency ANI. The arrested accused, Nirbhay Narayan Singh, is the manager of a private college — Maharani Devi Smarak Inter College — the police said, quoted by the news agency.
So far, 46 persons have been arrested and sent to jail, the police added.

The accused got the question paper printed and got it solved by two English teachers. He later sold copies of solved question papers for a sum of Rs 25,000 to 30,000, the police said as reported by ANI.
Along with Singh, another accused Rajeev Prajapati was also arrested by the police who had sent scanned copies of the solved question paper to others over social media. Solved paper and money extorted from students were recovered by the police. The accused received money through PayTm transaction, the police said.

Along with Singh and Prajapati, four managers, three principals, ten teachers and five coaching centre teachers and three clerks were arrested by the Ballia Police, reported ANI.
The English exam for class UP Board class 12th was scheduled on March 30 across 75 districts of the state. But following the leak of the question paper that was scheduled to be held in the second shift, the Uttar Pradesh government had cancelled the exam in 24 districts including the Ballia district.
