Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan 1st Anniversary: Progress Report Of Ram Temple Construction In Over A Year

Today marks the completion of one year since the bhoomi pujan for Ram Temple happened in Ayodhya. In this one year, the construction of Ram Temple has been 50 percent completed.

Ram Mandir Construction: Today is the first anniversary of the Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan in Ayodhya. The construction work started after the foundation stone of the temple was laid by PM Narendra Modi on August 5 last year. During this one year the construction work of the majestic Ram Temple progressed rapidly. The Ram Mandir Trust has expressed hope that the temple will be opened for devotees to visit by the end of 2023. However, the construction of the temple will be totall completed only by 2025.

50% work completed
The foundation for the temple's structure is currently being completed. The deadline for completing the foundation has been fixed for September 15. Within a year, more than 50 percent of the temple construction work has been completed. 25 layers have been filled so far. The filling of the foundation is being carried out in two shifts of 12 hours each.

Construction of base to begin in October
Construction of the temple's base will begin in October. Sandstone from Mirzapur would be used for this base, along with Granite. Granite would be sourced from Lalitpur and Rajasthan. The foundation has been covered with plastic sheets so that it does not enter the massive foundation area. The strength of the massive Ram Temple is also being taken care of.

This is how Ram Temple would look like:
The length of the temple will be 360 feet, width 235 feet, and height of each level will be 20 feet, while the main temple will have three levels with five mandapas. Sources said that the temple will have 160 pillars on the ground floor, 132 pillars on the first floor, and 74 pillars on the second floor. The height of the peak to be built on the sanctum sanctorum of the temple will be 161 feet from the ground.
