Jayant Chaudhary Turns Down Amit Shah's 'Invite', Says Give Invitation To Deceased 700 Farmers' Families
Jayant Chaudhary's remark came after the BJP, referring to the RLD-SP alliance, said that he chose the wrong path
New Delhi: Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Jayant Chaudhary, on Wednesday, responded to the statement by Union Home Minister Amit Shah that BJP’s doors were always open for RLD after the Home Minister had a meeting with Jat leaders. Refuting the invitation, Jayant said that the invitation should be given to those 700 farmers’ families whose houses were destroyed during the farmers’ protest.
"Don't give this invitation to me. Give it to all those 700 farmers' families whose houses you have destroyed," tweeted the RLD chief.

He gave out the remarks after Shah said that RLD supremo Jayant Chaudhary has chosen the wrong path referring to the RLD-SP alliance for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
The BJP is keen to forge an alliance with the RLD and is hopeful of one even post polls. Referring to the alliance, BJP MP Pravesh Verma said, “On (RLD chief) Jayant Chaudhary, he (HM Amit Shah) said that there are many possibilities after the polls. For now, he has chosen a party. People of the Jat community will speak to Jayant. BJP's doors are always open for him."
Verma further said that the BJP was interested in contesting the Uttar Pradesh elections with Jayant Chaudhary but he chose the wrong path. "We wanted to welcome (RLD chief) Jayant Chaudhary to our home (BJP) but he has chosen the wrong path," Verma added.
Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah held a meeting with Jat leaders of the State on Wednesday which had concluded at Pravesh Verma’s residence.
The state of Uttar Pradesh will undergo Assembly Election in seven phases starting from February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27, March 3, and the last and final phase on March 7. Votes will be counted on March 10.
