Ankita Bhandari Murder: Resort Staffer Claims Accused's Brother 'Took Dinner To Receptionist's Room' Night Before She Went Missing

According to the staffer, he got a call from Ankit Arya, the brother of alleged accused Pulkit Arya, saying that he would take the dinner to the victim’s room.

New Delhi: A staffer at the Uttarakhand resort, where 19-year-old receptionist Ankita Bhandari used to work, has made some startling revelations in connection with the murder case involving a BJP leader’s son.

According to the staffer, he got a call from Ankit Arya, the brother of alleged accused Pulkit Arya, saying that he would take the dinner to the victim’s room.

“I got a call from Ankit Arya at 8pm to prepare dinner for 4 people. Around 10:45pm he came and told us that he'll take dinner to Ankita's room, to which I said our service boy will do that, but he didn't agree,” news agency ANI quoted resort staffer Manveer Chauhan as saying.

“The next day we saw Ankita was missing from her room. Her bag, money, and food were left in the room,” he added.

Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan wrote to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami requesting him to end the system of revenue police with immediate effect and to set up police stations and outposts of the general police force.

Notably, the State Disaster Response Force recovered the body of Ankita Bhandari from Chilla canal in Uttarakhand's Rishikesh earlier in the day, news agency ANI reported.

The 19 year-old receptionist had gone missing a few days back following which three accused, including Pulkit Arya, son of former Uttarakhand minister and BJP leader Vinod Arya and owner of the resort where Bhandari worked, were arrested.
