Free Books, Quality Education: Punjab’s Schools Are Changing for the Better!

In the past, government school textbooks often arrived late in August or even September, affecting students’ learning. But under the Mann Government, this has changed dramatically.

The Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is revolutionizing education to create a prosperous and progressive Punjab. By focusing on modern infrastructure, world-class teacher training, and equal opportunities for all, the government is ensuring that every child gets the best education possible.

One of the most impactful initiatives is the distribution of free school books, ensuring that no child is deprived of quality education due to financial constraints.

Free Books for Every Student: Education Without Barriers

To bridge the gap between privileged and underprivileged students, the Mann Government provides free textbooks to students from Grade 1 to 12. This ensures that every child, regardless of their financial background, has equal access to quality education. The initiative has empowered millions of students, making sure that education is a right, not a privilege.

91% of Books Delivered on Time- A Remarkable Achievement

In the past, government school textbooks often arrived late in August or even September, affecting students’ learning. But under the Mann Government, this has changed dramatically.

In 2024, a staggering 91.44% of books were successfully distributed within the first month of school admissions. This is a massive improvement, ensuring that students can start their academic year fully prepared. In the 2023-24 session alone, over 26.8 lakh students received free textbooks on time, marking a historic milestone in Punjab’s education sector.

A Commitment to Excellence in Education

The Mann Government’s unwavering dedication to education reform reflects its long-term vision of empowering Punjab’s youth. By prioritizing educational accessibility and quality learning resources, the government is laying the foundation for a brighter, more educated Punjab.

This initiative is not just about distributing books, it’s about building a future where every child has the tools to succeed. And with these reforms, Punjab’s education system is setting a benchmark for the entire country.

Education for all, progress for Punjab!
